Rocks with Hands (2019-ongoing) is a current series of works on paper drawn from video stills of my hands. The videos (A series titled, Hands and Rocks) explore actions my hands perform in the landscape and are an inquiry into sound, gesture, and performance. While the drawings parallel the video work in theme, they also tell a story of their own with the gestures and magic of rocks, moving water, rain, shadows, and dirt.
