The Desert Floor, Rhyolite Frottage Drawings (2017)

While in the Mojave Desert near Death Valley National Park, I took a stack of paper and a pencil and sat on the desert floor making drawings with the stones and taproots and rocky earth, collecting marks by walking, frottage/rubbing, and moving rock with my hands.
